Audiologists:

Norman Mele, Au.D., Aud(C), Reg. CASLPO (Doctor of Audiology)
Norman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 with a Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in Communication Disorders - Audiology. Norman joined Montcalm Audiology & Hearing Aid Services Ltd. in February 2004 and became business partner in December of the same year. Norman purchased the hearing clinic in September 2005 and is now the sole owner. Norman has since expanded the business, acquiring an established clinic in Oakville in November 2006 and most recently an established clinic in Mississauga in February 2007. Norman earned his Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) in October 2007, having completed his Professional Doctorate Degree studies in Audiology at A.T. Still University in Arizona.

Norm currently provides audiological assessments, hearing aid tests and prescriptions, hearing aid dispensing and fitting, hearing aid verification / validation, and earwax removal at all four or our locations (Burlington, Mississauga, Oakville and Waterdown).

Catherine Heikurinen, B.Sc., M.A., Aud(C), Reg. CASLPO
Cathy has been a practicing audiologist for over 20 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree from the University of Toronto and continued her education at the State University of New York (Buffalo Campus) earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Audiology. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings over the years, including hospitals and private practice clinics. She has worked primarily with Ear, Nose, Throat specialists (ENTs) over the years and enjoys providing audiological assessments, particularly for those with medically managed hearing impairment. Cathy currently practices part-time at our Mississauga hearing clinic location where she provides audiological assessments, hearing aid tests and prescriptions, hearing aid fittings and hearing aid verification.

Carolina Castaneda, M.Sc., Reg. CASLPO, Aud (C)
Carolina earned her Bachelor degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Rosario and continued her education at the Iberoamericana university, earning a Masters Degree in Audiology in Colombia. Carolina has been a practising audiologist for over 20 years. She has worked in a variety of clinical and university settings over the years. Carolina moved to Canada in August 2001 when she then completed her CASLPO/CASLPA certification. In May 2010 Carolina joined Montcalm Audiology and works full-time in our Oakville hearing clinic location where she provides audiological assessments, hearing aid tests and prescriptions, hearing aid fittings, hearing aid verification and earwax removal.

Hearing Instrument Dispensers

Lise Hebert
Lise has earned her Hearing Instrument Practioner Diploma from Grant MacEwan University. She also holds a Medical Secretarial Certificate from Sheridan College as well as a Business Administration Diploma from the Halton Business Institute. Lise has over 20 years of experience in Office Administration and has been with Montcalm Audiology & Hearing Aid Services Ltd. since 1996 at our Burlington hearing clinic location.

Cathy Houselander
Cathy has been providing clinical and administrative support since 1999.  Cathy earned a certificate in provincial health billing procedures (OHIP billing) from the Computer Technology Institute. Cathy has earned her Hearing Instrument Practioner Diploma from Grant MacEwan University. Cathy works at our Mississauga hearing clinic location.

Administrative Personnel

Karen Gall
Karen has been with Montcalm Audiology & Hearing Aid Services Ltd. location since the summer of 2005. Karen currently works in the Accounting Department in our Head Office at the Burlington hearing clinic location. Karen also has many years of experience working in audiology and hearing aid clinics as an administrative assistant. During this time Karen has developed knowledge in areas of hearing aid maintenance and minor repairs.

Kimberley Holloway
Kimberley graduated from Humber College in 1987 with a Developmental Services Worker diploma.  Kimberley worked with special needs individuals of all ages (primarily adults).  Kimberley later worked in customer service for approximately 12 years before joining Audia Hearing Aid Centre in 2002. Audia Hearing Aid Centre (Oakville) was sold in November 2006 to Montcalm Audiology & Hearing Aid Services. Kimberley has also completed a Small Business Management Certificate Program. Kimberley continues to provide administrative and office management support for our Oakville clinic location.

Kelly Jay
Kelly earned a Medical Secretarial Certificate from Sheridan College and more recently a Small Business Management Certifcate. Kelly has been with Montcalm Audiology since May 2009 providing administrative and office management support in our Mississauga Office. Kelly brings with her 20+ years experience in retail and customer service while working at our Mississauga hearing clinic location.
